Boys Gaelic Football

We had events at U-18, U-16 and U-14 level. The main highlight at U-18 level was Chris Donovan's success in getting selected on the county Kildare Vocational U-18 team. Chris played well when Kildare lost to Wicklow in the Leinster semi-final and is wished all the best along with the other senior players now leaving our school in their future sporting careers.

The U-16's took part in a blitz in Ballykelly against Naas, Newbridge and Castledermot. The team were desperately unlucky to lose by one point to Naas in the first round, but following this heart-breaking defeat with a goal victory over Newbridge before leaving the competition with a 2 Point loss to Castledermot. This team acquilted themselves so well that we can certainly look forward to the U-18 competition next year with high hopes and expectations.

The U-14's also took part in a county blitz in Hawkfield in March and recorded great wins over Athy, Monsterevin and Newbridge before losing out to very strong Castledermot and Naas sides. We are very proud of their achievements.

Boys Soccer team

The Under 16 and Under 14 Boys Soccer Teams performed well this year. Both teams were unlucky not to advance beyond the group stages of their respective leagues. Well done to all involved and best of luck next year.

Girls Soccer team

Both the Under 16 and Under 14 Girls Soccer teams performed with distinction this year. Notably, the Under 14 Girls won the Leinster Midlands League beating Gaelscoil Nas by two goals to one in the final.

The Curragh girls performed magnificently with exceptional performances by Hannah Quirke, Kellie Hughes and Nicole Carroll. Congratulations to all involved.

Sports Day was held on the 27th May this year. It was a huge success and we hope to have one again next year. Well done to all involved.
